Cindy Law

President, The Foundation for Wildlife Conservation

My late husband, Larry and I met Gil and Lillian Boese in Belize 15 years ago. Traveling together numerous times in Africa and Belize, we learned first hand Gil’s passionate lesson in conservation. We met many people whom Gil had worked with for years fighting the battle for habitat and species preservation. We also had amazing adventures while learning in the field. I felt as if we had the privilege of 14 years of “Boese University.”

The first time that we stepped foot at Runaway Creek we knew it was special and needed to be protected. Larry and I decided that it was our turn to make a commitment and after many years of negotiation, we were able to form The Foundation for Wildlife Conservation in Washington state, our home, and purchase Runaway Creek Nature Reserve. With giant shoes that I can never fill, my goal is to continue the legacy of Runaway Creek by furthering research and education, and protecting it from development, while supporting our wonderful staff of passionate conservationists.
